About the event
This National Prison Doula Training is for students, professionals, and community members working at the intersection of reproductive health care and incarceration. The purpose of the training is to gain the skills and knowledge necessary to develop and implement evidence-based, trauma-informed, full-spectrum pregnancy and parenting support programs for justice-involved birthing people.
Sleeping quarters are in shared rooms with bunkbeds and the bathrooms are nearby with showers. Bedding is NOT automatically provided for attendees, please indicate whether you will be bringing your own or if you will need us to provide it for you. We recognize that traveling with blankets and pillows may not be an option so we will provide the bedding at no extra cost to you just be sure to indicate that on the registration form.
The venue is a summer camp-like property on a lake, pack your walking shoes to get out an enjoy nature during our break times if you would like.
We'll send a suggested packing list and other important information (including exact address of the venue) as the event gets closer, be sure to indicate on the registration form if you would like those materials to be printed and mailed to you, otherwise you will receive them via email.
We look forward to spending the weekend with you!
